I am a very avid movie buff. I don’t review them as I don’t know how to make one, yet
. Looking at my 1 TB HDD full of movies, I have compiled a list of few movies you must watch in 2008. Some movies have great story, some have great direction and some have cast to die for, whatever may be the case these movies will be talked about in the time to come, I hope
. Here are my picks of movies you shouldn’t miss. They did strike a chord with me, hope they will with you too.
- Cloverfield, is an innovative direction and story boarding.
- Horton Hears a Who! Every thing is a perspective.
- Choke at restaurants to get money!
- Zack and Miri Make a Porno
- Burn After Reading – CIA analyst who quits his job.
- Son of Rambow – Creativity and Children.
- Religulous – God’s a joke?
- A Wednesday – Dil se
- Dasvidaniya – Anand revisited
- Race is a fresh thriller with not so Bollywood drama.
Your opnions are welcome and please add to the list.

Good list… though Cloverfield at #1? I’m also not sure whether to applaud your dismissal of The Dark Knight or to reprimand you for it. And Horton as the only animated feature over the superior WALL-E? No Slumdog Millionaire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Milk, The Visitor, Changeling?… maybe you just haven’t seen them yet. But if you have seen the majority of the films in 2008, then please expand your reasoning why your Top 10 stood out from the rest.

Cloverfield gave me a headache. Felt it was just another disaster movie from hollywood. Zac and Miri was hillarious. Wednesday was fabulous. Great to see Naseer and Anupam Kher for a change being lead actors in a movie.
Burn after reading is something i wanna watch. How about Dark Knight?

Very short and precise list, only I have not watched about 6 movies from your list.

Dinn see any other, but yep Dasvidaniya is good work.
Although the pessimist type people should keep away otherwise they may feel jealous of the hero of Dasvidaniya. As he knew when he is going away!
Anyways, nice entertainment blog!

some of them are pretty good, i think there were definitely some good movies this year but i think it would be fair to mention that there were allot of BAD MOVIES, i am the kind of person that downloads 4-5 movies everyday, and most of them i stop after about 10 minutes of watching them.

Saw Cloverfield last night. Was definitely one of the most ingenious movies I’ve seen… though its direction and camera work is very similar to The Blair Witch Project.
