10 Movies of 2008, You mustn't miss

Posted in Entertainment, Movies by Chirag Chamoli on December 26, 2008

all_the_world__s_a_stageI am a very avid movie buff. I don’t review them as I don’t know how to make one, yet :) . Looking at my 1 TB HDD full of movies, I have compiled a list of few movies you must watch in 2008. Some movies have great story, some have great direction and some have cast to die for, whatever may be the case these movies will be talked about in the time to come, I hope ;) . Here are my picks of movies you shouldn’t miss. They did strike a chord with me, hope they will with you too.

  1. Cloverfield, is an innovative direction and story boarding.
  2. Horton Hears a Who! Every thing is a perspective.
  3. Choke at restaurants to get money!
  4. Zack and Miri Make a Porno
  5. Burn After Reading – CIA analyst who quits his job.
  6. Son of Rambow – Creativity and Children.
  7. Religulous – God’s a joke?
  8. A Wednesday – Dil se
  9. Dasvidaniya – Anand revisited
  10. Race is a fresh thriller with not so Bollywood drama.

Your opnions are welcome and please add to the list.

  • If you have a glass eye, tap on it occasionally with your pen while talking to others.
  • Stomp on little plastic ketchup packets.
  • Reply to everything someone says with “that’s what you think.”
  • Practice making fax and modem noises.
  • Highlight irrelevant information in scientific papers and “cc” them to your boss, shove that there is a setting which enables to automatically redirect your mails to anyemail id…hope you get the idea
  • Signal that a conversation is over by clamping your hands over your ears and grimacing.
  • In a meeting every random minute scream “BINGO!”, then shut up, if asked any question just say “Brainwaves”
  • Staple pages in the middle of the page.
  • TYPE IN UPPERCASE.
  • dont use any punctuation either
  • While making presentations, occasionally pretend to yawn.
  • Leave the copy machine set to reduce 250%, extra dark, A3 paper, 100 copies.

Washington to Kill Silicon Valley

Posted in Blogging, Economics, Inspiration by Chirag Chamoli on December 23, 2008

Washington Is Killing Silicon Valley, is an editorial from the Wall Street Journal.  However not to be taken seriously at all. This article misses the main point that while the economics of startups are currently distorted doing a startup is still one of the best ways to change the world. Now is the time to think of something out of the box to inspire and simplify.

An Idea can actully change the world

Ghajini A Disgrace!

I am in the creative line almost and understand that its hard to get up each morning with a new creative idea. However once a month it is very plausible isn’t it. What I am not sure of is

  • What is the point of doing a Copy-Paste job of Memento
  • Amir was suppose to be good actor, right?
  • Don’t do such movies, just dub the original in “Amir’s” voice
  • or Donate the money to Charity
  • Bollywood if are you out of freaking ideas, do novels, do short original movies, go back to school
  • Finally You Morons if you can’t make a good original movie a year shame on you, all.

“The only “ism” Bollywood believes in is plagiarism.”

I have time and again requested, all my friends stop using internet explorer, here is another reason why; recently there is a serious security flaw found with ie. I urge again, to stop using ie and start using Firefox.

It’s a shame Microsoft have not been able to fix this more quickly – Darien Graham-Smith; PC Pro magazine

Why Mr. Bush why, can’t you resign now? I mean your legacy is already screwed, and then this. Do I have to tell you “Throwing shoes at somebody is a supreme insult in the Middle East.” You know what, Mr Bush what goes around come around.
